c1915 Art Deco Sterling Schmitz & Moore Mechanical crumb brush. Extremely rare item for the super elite of the first quarter of the 20th century. Table sized
mechanical cleaning brush, or perhaps for bed. I've never seen another like it
so I'm really not 100% sure of it's original intended use. Solid hand engraved
sterling other than brushes, mechanism and handle of course. Handle a little
loose, seems to work as it should. You have to press down to engage the brushes
as you would the larger version of these that people used to use. 205.3 grams,
4" wide x 7.5" from bottom to end of handle.
