c1949 Sterling Napoleon Hood Ornament by Garrard & Co Ltd. So I'm thinking this came off a Very expensive European car made in 1949 but I'm not 100% sure as I don't know the car, if I'm correct it would have been a limited production type of deal. I can find no other examples of this figure . The threading and another small prong I would assume to lock it in place extend slightly beyond it's base so it would need to be displayed on a base with a slight recess or the bolt could be ground down but if it is what I think it is and it's really that rare, maybe not such a good idea. 3 7/8" tall 167.8 grams. Vintage Peruvian Folk Art Traditional Mate Burilado Carved Gourd 3.5" wide x 2.5" tall, extremely well detailed, telling a story as shown. This is a nice old one circa mid 20th century with a fantastic patina and no issues. People from the valley at the basin of the Mantaro River, who are known as huancas, produce carved gourds, masks, jewelry, embroidery, ceramics and textiles for the national and international markets. In the 1930s, after the introduction of highways and railroads brought low-cost industrial products into the market, many of these crafts evolved from functional to decorative, replacing the use of the traditional vessels. On the gourds you can see stories ranging from cultural events—celebrations, folklore, myths and tragedies—to displays of everyday life. However, carved gourds incorporate more than just visual storytelling as the textural qualities of the gourd offer a new perspective to understanding the story itself. Hand Forged Tortilla Pan with Thick Hammered copper skillet. Personally found by me in an old Barn on a Ranch in Wimberley Texas. I have no way of knowing for sure how old it is but it's obviously old and obviously handmade completely 100% hand hammered copper and hand forged handle. It's functional and ready to use. 20.5" total length with 8 5/8" skillet section 12" handle. This is way thicker and heavier than any copper cookware I have seen. Likely intended for and used over open fire at a camp. I don't know if it's from 1800 or 1960 but a similar pot today would cost a small fortune and not be as well made. c1890 8 Dresden Demitasse Espresso Cups and Saucers Turkish Coffee. These are small demitasse cups and saucers typically used today for strong coffee in various countries, they're great. All hand painted 4.75" wide saucers, 2.25" tall and wide cups. One cup matches on one side but not the other, it was made by the same company but looks to have been decorated by another. One saucer has a small chip and associated hairline, it's on top right of group pic. NO other chips cracks, restorations, or other issues. Very rare to find a set of these. Selling the exact 8 cups and saucers shown. The term "Dresden porcelain" refers more to an artistic movement than a particular line of figurines or dinnerware. Paul Jean Marie Sain (1853-1908) 1901 French Portrait of Chincholle. Really great original oil on Canvas. The man in the portrait resembles a French author named Charles Chincholle who died of a stroke in 1902. Hopefully I'll have more info at a later date. 16" x 19" framed, 11" x 14" canvas. No restorations, clean frame, clean painting other than two small scuffs one to the left of the top of his head, another just above it to the right of the signature. Below are the Biographies of both the artist and Charles Chincholle. One thing they have in common is They were both at one point named knights of the Legion of Honor. Charles Chincholle was appointed the year this painted was done, a year before his death. I've found a few portraits of him online and it looks like him to me. Jean-Paul Marie Saïn (5 December 1853, Avignon - 6 March 1908, Avignon) was a French painter, known primarily for landscapes and portraits. Paul Jean Marie Sain studied under noted Academic painters Jean Leon Gerome and Charles Michel Guilbert d'Anelle. Sain made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1879. His paintings of marine scenes and lush romantic landscapes were well received and he was awarded honorable mention in 1883, a third place medal in 1886, a bronze medal in 1889 and in 1900 at the Paris Exposition Universelle. He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1895. His works are in the collection of the Musee du Louvre, Paris, Musee du Luxembourg, Paris, Musee de Perpignan and the Alencon Fine Art Museum. Charles Henri Hippolyte Chincholle , born on July 16, 1843 in Amiens 1 and died onAugust 26, 1902in Paris , is a French journalist and writer . He is considered to be the first major French reporter. Biography Son of Barthélémy Hyppolite Chincholle and Pélagie Victoire Aimée Quequet, Charles Chincholle was declared by his father under the first names of Henri Charles Hippolyte 4 , 5 . He began studying medicine, which he left quite quickly. c1900 Dresden Flowers Hand Painted Bread Basket and Heart shaped bowl. Selling both pieces shown. The heart dish is 8.25" x 6 5/8" x 1 7/8". It has one tiny flake on the top left of the heart sharp corner shown in bottom left of second pic. It's really difficult to see, not a distraction. c1910 Fenton Carnival Glass Plate Pair in Concord Grape Amethyst. These are pretty rare to find one, to find a pair is really amazing. There's a tag on the back indicating they were sold as a pair sometime in the last quarter of the 20th century. Just over 9" wide each with no cracks, chips, or restorations. 1970's Austin Texas watercolor "the Preacher's car" By Robert William"Windy" Winn. 12" x 16" sight 19" x 23" framed. Windy Winn was one of the co-founders of the Waterloo Watercolor Group in 1977. Painting is clean with no issues. Some wear to frame. It was local personality Cactus Pryor who introduced Wings wife Babs to his high school buddy, Windy. Jake Pickle and Windy were partners in the 1950s, handling political and advertising campaigns. Babs and Windy had a lot of fun together. They were original "founding" members of Austin Civic Theater (now the Zachary Scott Theater). They acted, danced, sang, directed and wrote plays, promoted the Austin Civic Theatre and organized the Laa Gloria Art Fiesta. He attended Austin High School in Austin, TX. In 1942, he enlisted in the US Navy and attended San Diego State university where he was editor of the Navy Base newspaper before being shipped out. When he returned, he worked briefly as a graphic artist for the Austin American Statesman newspaper and teamed with former US Rep Jake Pickle and Ed Eyers to form the advertising agency Eyers, Pickle and Winn in 1947.

Arthur Bishop Jeffreys (American/Texas, 1892-1970) large Texas landscape painting. 22" x 29" canvas 28" x 35" framed. No damage or notable issues. Nice old painting from the second quarter of the 20th century. Arthur Bishop Jeffreys, 1892-1970, was born in Hillsboro, Texas. He had a mixed career as a painter and newspaper journalist. Starting late to paint in 1923, when in his early thirties, he was employed, 1942 through 1969, by one newspaper, which changed its name three times: the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Tyler Courier-Times, and Courier-Times-Telegraph. He had moved to Tyler, Texas from Dallas in 1936, and for the newspaper worked primarily as a proofreader. However, using the name Arthur Bishop, he also wrote feature articles and shorter columns. As a young man, his destiny lay elsewhere, he was employed by the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railway Company, apparently in Dallas, where he worked until 1918 as a road master's clerk, secretary to the chief engineer, and secretary to the general manager. Though he briefly studied in New York with Frederick Jarvis, Jeffreys was essentially self-taught. He died in Tyler, and is buried there.He was a member of the Art Students League, New York City; Chicago Art League, Illinois; Dallas Art Association; and Society of Independent Artists. His work is in the collections of the Hilton Hotel, Waco; and La Grange College, Georgia. His landscapes appeared in magazines including Holland's and Literary Digest in 1926. His 1927 painting of Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis, autographed by the flyer, sold for $2,000 at an auction in New York City. Jeffrreys was able to make money from his similarly autographed paintings of World War I ace fighter pilot Eddie Rickenbacker, and Amelia Earhart, the first woman aviator to cross the Atlantic. Shows with Jeffreys work include the Exhibition of Texas Artists, Nashville Museum of Art, Tennessee (1927 prize); and Painters of Texas 1900-1950, Museums of Abilene (1989).
